Workshop in Effectively running your Domestic Cleaning Service

 

Initial point of contact

Phone call or Zoom

A series of questions will be asked of you regarding your intentions, do you want to run a business with view to employing staff? Or do you intend to just be a sole trader/owner/operator. It will make a difference to your marketing plan.

Have you had experience in Domestic Cleaning, are you sure this is the industry you want to work in? Not everyone does. If there is no experience, we are happy to offer a free trial for you to see if you feel it is for you.

And we will talk about the course etc and let you decide whether this is for you or not. If you do want to go ahead with the workshop, an invoice will be emailed to you and will need to be paid in full before we book in our first 2 hour scheduled meeting.

2 hour workshop/meeting in office

Here we will talk about the magic 5 and what is required when providing Domestic Cleaning services to your clients. What many expect and pay for. We discuss all things business including getting your ABN if required, Public Liability insurance.

This session will be structured for your particular requirements, depending on your intention moving forward with your business structure etc. We will show you what is available to you by way of accounting and bookkeeping solutions. Marketing, attaining clients. A lot of practical advise about running a business, working with the business community, collaboration.

All of your questions and concerns will be addressed in this session.

 

One on one On the job training in approved clients’ homes

This is wear you put your working clothes on and work as a Domestic Cleaner with one of our very experienced trainers. You will learn exactly how to clean and present a home to a high standard. Our trainers will talk through each room with you, and guide you with time management. In this time of practical learning, is when you will completely understand how important comprehensive on the job training is.

It is envisaged that you will complete enough comprehensive training to be able to reach a high standard of service, attracting clients who will appreciate all that you do.

Please note, during your training with Domestics Plus Queensland, you will be paid an hourly wage, plus benefits of superannuation, long service leave, travel allowance. This is a great opportunity for you to start and maintain the habit of paying yourself superannuation moving forward. Too many small business owners do not pay themselves superannuation and will find that was a mistake later in life.

Follow up and finalise meeting in office (2 hours approximately)

This is where we discuss your performance on the jobs, how you felt about it, what you are ready to embark on. Please note, if you feel overwhelmed and unsure where to start, that’s what we are here for, we can talk you through it, and offer support to get you started. We can even offer working shifts with us while we also help you build up your client base.

There is absolutely no reason why you cannot own and operate your own Domestic Cleaning service successfully.

Providing a good service is definitely a 2 way street. If you implement everything you have been trained and don’t cut corners, you will most definitely be on your way to a successful, independent future.
